We are taking our first trip to Seoul in 9 years next week, and for the first time ever we will land at Incheon. Reviewing the reponses it appears bus transportation into Seoul is pretty easy, but I%26#39;m still thinking maybe it is worth the convenience to have the Hotel pick me up (just because we will probably be beat flying from US even though it will costs 140,000KW). The Marriott Rennaissance site says what bus to take but the JW Marriott where we will be staying doesn%26#39;t. Does anyone know what bus it would be? Additionally does the bus take you to a central location and then you take a taxi or does it drop you off at the hotel. Thanks as always.
Follow-up on bus from Incheon to JW MarriottI think you want the Ganganm Terminal Bus. It leaves from station 4A and 10A at the airport. Here is a link. http://www.lifeinkorea.com/Travel2/IABIe.cfm
The fare is 13,000 Won. The buses are comfortable. I make several trips a year to Seoul and recommend the bus. The bus will drop you directly at the hotel.
Follow-up on bus from Incheon to JW MarriottThank you, I%26#39;m still grappling with the price versus convenience but I%26#39;ll definitely take the bus back to the Airport when we leave. I appreciate your response. Dakota.
I think 140,000 won is robbery. I took a taxi once to the Renaissance Hotel and the cost was only 80,000 won (about $80 US) I know you probably want to have a driver waiting for you but taxi%26#39;s (the big ones) are readily available at Incheon.
Thanks PE. You have convinced me. When I use to fly into other Airport I always took a taxi. I guess I%26#39;m just getting older and more conservative. I%26#39;m sure if I tell the Driver J. W. Marriott my rusty Korean won%26#39;t be a problem. I appreciate the help. Now if I can get American to fly Sunday from St. Louis to Chicago (MD 80 issues) the rest of my trip should be easy. Dakota
Just arrived here via bus from the Incheon Airport. I was going to use a cab but found an info desk selling bus tickets at the airport so I figured I would give it a try. With 4 people total in my party including 2 kids this was a little risky. The bus was 14,000 Won per adult and half as much for kids. It first drops off at the bus terminal then continues on to the hotel directly. Big leather seats onboard and room for luggage under the bus. IMO, more comfortable and easier to deal with than an airport taxi. And at less than half the price I was more than pleasantly surprised.
