After dark near 63-story building. Any ideas?

Hi all,

I desperately need ideas where to go after dark.

1st night.

Coming back from Everland, have Calbi dinner somewhere(not stated yet), and go back to hotel.

Any ideas of close by night spots?

2nd night

Ending the program at 63-story building.

If we plan to stay on and go back to hotel by ourselves, where to hang out? shopping or good bars near there? and how to go back?

Here is the address of our Siheung hotel.

Chongwan-Dong, Shihueng-Shi ,Kyungki-Do

Thanks in advance.

if 63 storey building is on Yeouido Island, I don%26#39;t see much nightlife.

And afterwards you%26#39;ve a 90 minute train back to your hotel. Perhaps go to Myeongdong, to make it as good as you can.

It does not sound good at all, though.

we bought a package, which places us somewhere in a middle of an industrial park!!!

well, as good as it gets.....

Meongdong then

You can go to the riverside park just next to 63 story building. There is no club or bar but there is night life. Korean people love to spend tiem at the riverside park drinking beer.

Or it%26#39;s just 10min drive from Yeoeuido to Hongdae area, one of the biggest club areas in Seoul and a shopping paradise as well. Hongdae is must-visit place in Seoul. There are thousands of clubs and bars and.......so on.

Yes, like the others have stated, there will not be much for you to do at night there. There are bars and hof houses as they say there..in that area, but most of them are business club-like drinking places that cater to those who work in that area. Not really a place to recommend to tourists.

Try Hongdae....where there are lots of clubs and bars...and many college students (as well as people in their 20s.)

BUT, I noticed your hotel is in Siheung, which is actually not even Seoul..it%26#39;s quite down the blue line (subway line no. 4). So unless you%26#39;re thinking of taking the taxi, I wouldn%26#39;t recommend you stay out until late...

So if your schedule at the 63-story building will be ending late, then I%26#39;d just go back to your hotel and find a bar around there... a few other stops you could try is %26#39;Anyang%26#39; or %26#39;Beomgye%26#39; station, which are only a few stops before Siheung stop (subway-wise). Not as chic as those in Seoul, but you%26#39;ll still find places to drink, etc.

For the first night, I think you will probably having your Calbi dinner in Suwon. It%26#39;s on a way back from Everland to Siheung so for first night, depending on time you get back to hotel, maybe you could try to go in to Seoul but I doubt if you will have enough time for that.

For second night, I think Myongdong would be reasonable choice because same blue subway line covers from Myongdong to your hotel.

That%26#39;s if you want to take subway mainly, but if you want to try bus or even taxi, maybe you could try going over to nearby area of gangnam station where you will find lots of bars and restaurants. Of course, you can also take subway to gangnam station, you have to change line at Sadang station from blue to green.

If you decide to hang out in gangnam station area, try not to be too late or try to get information about bus number that goes from gangnam station to your hotel because after around 11pm when subway stops running, it%26#39;s quite a struggle to get a taxi to go out of Seoul even for Koreans.

Thanks sooooo much.

I will need time to digest all your suggestions and places.

We don%26#39;t think we want to try bus.

If we leave places 10 pm latest, would taxi be best?

Let%26#39;s say from Meongdong to hotel.

Or subway is better?

From Myongdon to your hotel, subway would be the cheapest and easiest way since you can go directly on the same blue lane.

Subways in Seoul usually operate around 11-12pm so 10pm, you could still use subway. I think a staff at your hotel will be able to tell you exact time for the last subway to your hotel.

have a good time in Seoul.

Yes, if you%26#39;re leaving a 10pm from Myeongdong to Siheung, take the subway... taxi will be very costly. As advised above, simply take the blue line waaaaaay down. Have fun~

Thanks alot again,

will do as suggested.
