Hi,
I am planning on a mini-convention trip for my boss and my colleagues, the travel agency have given me 3 choices on the Seoul Hotel whereby I need your advice on which hotel is the best so that we can avoid unnecessary disappointment upon arrival. Cheers %26amp; Thanks!
Advice needed on Seoul Hotel......Wow... I have forgotten to name the Hotels listed. They are 1)Samjung Hotel 2)Best Western Vision 3)Poonjun Hotel
Looking forward your reply. Thanks.
Advice needed on Seoul Hotel......Hi,
I don%26#39;t know about (1) but (2) and (3) are 3* properties, quite old, not in the touristy Jung-gu district and IMHO not known for their convention facilities and business centre support. The non-centralized location may be a plus point for holding conventions because then you won%26#39;t have people disappearing in the middle of the day to go sightseeing or shopping.
If you%26#39;re planning to include some sightseeing and shopping after your convention, then be prepared to incur some transport expenses getting to the popular tourist spots such as the Kyongbok Palace, Seoul Tower and War Memorial. Some consolation - Poonjun is not too far from Dongdaemun (for shopping). Hope this helps.
Hi,
Thanks a lots! Appreciated. Will try to arrange the Agency to offer better choice of Hotel then.
Anyone with any suggestion on similar hotel for replacement? Our Convention trip is actually a reward get-away trip for Qualifiers, hence, location, facilities, room condition and service are the factors we will be considering. Thanks for your help, Cheers!
Wow, wish I was in your shoes...so it is an incentive trip. Without knowing your budget (decides whether to pick 3*, 4* or 5* hotels) and how big your group is, I can only advise you to pick a hotel in Gangbuk (means North of the River Han) where most of the tourist action is, as opposed to Gangnam (means South of the River). Specifically, try to pick hotels located in or near Jung-gu or Jongno districts so you spend less time on the roads because city centre traffic congestion is quite bad. Hope this helps.
Thanks for all advice given. Have short-listed a few hotels based on your suggestion. Hopefully, we can get the lodging of our choice as we were told that the Hotel Occupancy rate are quite high during May... ;) Thanks again for everything! Cheers!!
