travel book recommendations???
i have one for south korea by moon handbooks its very good
Hi,
I have used the Lonely Planet on many occasions, it gives some great ideas but it gives scant info on specifics.
For example, it might say ';catch the bus across the road'; or something wishy washy and you don%26#39;t know where exactly you should go. Also, getting in and out of national parks is sometimes difficult, sometimes there is more then one bus stop so it doesn%26#39;t really spell some things out.
Also, the accomodation sections are quite poor, I usually go looking for a cheap looking love hotel near a bus terminal, if it%26#39;s around 30,000 won, that%26#39;s good enough for me.
In short, try learn some survival Korean like, ';where is the bus to .......'; or ';is this the bus to ......'; I speak minimal Korean but have managed to travel most of this country. Also the LP has many city names in Korean so point to the word if you can%26#39;t pronounce your destination properly.
