Getting around, help please!

Have a layover in Korea and will be staying at Hyatt Regency near airport.

Arrive 7pm and leave at 2pm next day.

Does this leave me enough time to go downtown? Have been told that the subway is not in english and to not risk it but I love to explore so if anyone has any experience/advice with this it would be much appreciated

the subway is in english and korean. if you love to explore, you will have fun anywhere...i do not speak korean but can still manage by asking around ( the younger ones ) and speaking slowly.

If you arrive 7pm, assume by 8pm you will finish your check in to your hotel. Then you will have to go back to the airport, get a taxi or a bus, and it will be about 9:30pm when you get to downtown.

I%26#39;m sure there are still plenty of things you can do from 9:30pm but I think getting back to your hotel will be bit more difficult in late night since you will have to grab a taxi.

Since you leave 2pm next day, I think if you choose your hotel somewhere downtown, you will have much more options for you.

Thanks for that.

Am flying Korean Air to Egypt and part of the flight is a layover at Hyatt Regency so had no choice in hotels. Doesn%26#39;t sound like I will have time the next day to go and do much so may have to leave exploring a bit of Seoul until another time

If you don%26#39;t have opotions for your hotel megg40, maybe it%26#39;s better to leave it to next time.

You could still try, if you are willing to spend about 70-100 USD for taxi fare for your return trip to Hyatt Incheon. Most downtown area is pretty crowded and active until midnight, sometimes even until 1am. You won%26#39;t get to see much tourist attractions, but maybe you could do some shoppings in Dongdaemoon or Namdaemoon, eat something, or have some drink.
