Busan Suggestions?

I will be visiting Busan this Fall with my parents so I was wondering if there were any suggestions for things to see and places to go while we are there. Additionally suggestions for hotels to stay there while we are there would be extremely helpful.

Busan Suggestions?

Pusan Internatioanl Film Festival takes place in Mid-October. It%26#39;s located in PIFF square across from Jagalchi Fish Market. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagalchi_Market. This is the must see event of fall in Southeast Korea. The actors, actresses, and directors come out into the theater after the movie. They answer questions from everyone in the audience. It%26#39;s a really fun time.

Busan Tower is located in the middle of the city. I recommend this for a day in the park.

Gyeongju is only a short day trip from Busan. If you are in Busan for more than 3 or 4 weeks, please do not pass on the old capital. Gyeongju is the best site for temples in Korea. It%26#39;s best to stay over night in Gyeongju.

Hotels are 30,000 won a night everywhere in Korea. Just look for the symbol of a bath with 3 wavey lines of steam rising. These are the best hotel value in Korea.

Haedong Yonggungsa! It%26#39;s a Buddhist temple by the sea, near Songjung Beach. The huge outdoor Buddha statute seemed popular, and the scenery around the temple was very pretty. Looking for the animal of your birth-year among the twelve Chinese zodiac figures at the entrance was fun, too.

I also liked the Haeundae Beach neighborhood a lot and promised myself I%26#39;d stay at one of the beach-front hotels there next time. What I liked about this particular beach was the lack of the disorderly shops with eyesores of signboards typical in Korea.
