Quick Stopover

where do you stay?

ICN is 1 hr:30 from Seoul.

When I fly back to UK from there, I leave my hotel at 10a.m. for 1:30 flight, so you%26#39;d only have the evening before and early a.m.

If you%26#39;re on OZ or KR, do you get a free hotel? If so, it may be at Airport Town -not an easy place to get into Seoul from there.

Sorry for bad news.

Thanks for that info.

We actually are looking for a hotel to stay in, preferably one that is central to a few sights - namely: 63 building, Myoung-dong street and Kyongbuk Palace. Google maps doesnt seem to work to well for South Korea so where unsure where these locations are in relation to each other and therefore where to stay for the night.

I was allowing an early morning start to sightseeing before heading back out to the airport (Incheon).

Thanks again.

oh, and unfortunatly no free hotel for us.

Ibis Myeong dong would probably suit you best for location. Don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll do the palace as I think it%26#39;s tours only, and they last over an hour.

I consider Nam San tower to be the best place to eat in Seoul. Dinner costs about 33,000 won ($33.00, 20 Euros, or 15 British Pounds), but the also includes the price for the observation deck. Insadong is not too far from Myeongdong. I always like to go there just to admire all the arts and crafts. Dongdaemun Stadium area has a really cool market. Korean markets are world famous. Plus, the Dongdeamun city gate is really amazing. The other major city gate (Namdeamun) was severly damaged in a fire earlier this year. Finding somewhere to eat is not a problem. There are usually really good dining halls on the roofs of most of the shopping malls in Dongdeamun.
