What is/are some of the better parts of town to stay? Are there safe/unsafe areas? Thanks

I think Seoul is safe all round. ';better'; depends on what you want, to be honest.

For business, perhaps Gangnam. For shopping, palaces Chongno is closer. but subway is so easy, anywhere near a metro station is fine.

Myeongdong is great but noisy; depends on your budget what you%26#39;d find good, but you might contemplate Shilla hotel for a blowout, or Ibis for a cheapy.
