itinerary and transport

Hi

We would like to visit Seoul,Gyeongju,Andond,Busan, and Jeju island

Can we base at Seoul ,1 day trip to Andong(is KTX cover this route or local train or bus?)

Seoul to Busan(KTX)

base at Busan ,1 day trip to Gyeongju(KTX?)

then fly or ferry from Busan to Jeju then fly back to Seoul.

Or Andong and Gyeongju are too far to do day trip from our bases?

In Angdong,we would like to visit only Hahoe village, mask museum,(if have time, will do the others)

In Gyeongju, only Bulgusa temple and Seokguram grotto(if have extra time, will do others attractions)

Thank you for any suggestion

Hi,

Have you visited South Korea yet or no...As i saw you have the same plan as mine.

I%26#39;ll visiting to Seoul as well on 24 Oct to 6 Nov... and plan to visit Andong, Busan %26amp; Jeju Island.. I%26#39;m on my own..

There%26#39;s no KTX to Andong from Seoul, would suggest to take a non-stop bus which takes about 4 hrs. Yeah!! Hahoe Village %26amp; Mask Museum that attracts me and also Changeseung Gongwan (Totem Poles park)

Thinking of make it a day-trip then base @ Seoul %26amp; KTX to Busan the next morning.

There%26#39;s Overnight cruise from Busan to Jeju Island ... %26amp; takes about 11 hrs. Will be spending 2 days in Jeju %26amp; fly back to Seoul.

If you had been to the trip as what you had planned then maybe you could give me a suggestion as well...

Thanks! :)

Hi Alice

I will go only in summer!

I ll fly to Tokyo first ,then to Busan (4 nights) 1 day trip to Geongju(2h or 2h30 from Busan by bus),1 day trip to Angdong(3h?) .I can take bus or i can hire a van with driver cause we will be 6 pax(a fellow traveler on Virtualtourist.com told me it is not much more expensive than bus plus we will travel by our rythm) I also have this travel agency rec Kangsantravel.com (Miss Lee 531 5508) base in Busan,i may contact them to arrange transport.

After Busan ,i ll fly to Jeju ,will use taxi or this Com:Jejueco.com to explore Jeju ,2 nights then fly to Seoul, then fly back home.I like to make one way travel like that if possible so i dont have to come back to point A!

If you will use those companies,i m the one who will ask you for your trip report(hehe)

Have a nice trip

You may want to go to Daegu by KTX and transfer to local train to Gyeongju, ~3.5 hrs. before reaching Busan. I stayed at a cheap place near the Gyeongju bus terminal(they had a coin operated net PC). Next early morning before the sunrise I took a train to Bulgusa station and took a taxi to Seokguram. There I saw hundreds of Koreans waiting for the sunrise. Then, the Grotto visit when it opened. I walked down the mountain side short cut road straight down to the Bulgusa temple stopping about a half way down for the delicious cold spring water %26amp; rest.~1hr walk down.
