Hi,

I%26#39;m trying to book a seat on the ferry from hakata to busan. I%26#39;ve managed to reserve a seat but the site won%26#39;t accept my Australian credit card. Any advice on how I can pay for this before I leave Australia?

However, you have to sign up a membership before you can use a credit card. All info. in Japanese or Korean. Your reservation will be canceled 3 days before departure if not paid.

If you are planning to travel in Korea by rail, use the boat RT + Korea Rail Pass good for 5 days (28,000 yen)or 7 days (31,000 yen). It gives unlimited train rides including the KTX bullet trains. In Korea you need to reserve seats and obtain tickets to go through the automated gates. It is a bargain. You can not buy this by internet anyway.

I had no problem just walking up to the ticketing @ Hakata Port a few min. before departure.

I didn%26#39;t figure out how to pay for and secure a seat prior to departure but it was no problem to walk up to the terminal and pay for a ticket to get on a ferry on the day. Enjoy your trip!
