Can you suggest an itinerary for 5-6 hours in Seoul?

Hi,

I%26#39;ll be in transit on my way to the US next month and would like to get out of the airport for a few hours to get a taste of Seoul.

I%26#39;ll be able to leave the airport by 6am and want to start heading back to the airport by 2pm (my flight leaves at 4:30pm).

Can you suggest an itinerary for spending a couple of hours in Seoul? I notice that the airport offers ';Transit Tours'; but these seem a bit expensive and i generally don%26#39;t like to be shepherded around.

Your suggestions would be highly appreciated! Thank You!

you won%26#39;t have long, I%26#39;m afraid.

you%26#39;ll be in town around 8 if the traffic is good, if you go by limo bus.

I might propose this:

get to Chongno subway, head for Cheongyecheon stream, walk a short way along it.

Come up the other side and head west towards the SK T tower (building looks like a mobile phone in shape). Walk south into Myoengdong, as far as you like, then turn right (west) towards Namdaemun Market. Wander through there towards City Hall, and in front of City Hall go to west corner of Seoul Plaza and ';do'; Doksugung.

O/wise you could go to Chungmuro station and wander the folk village; or try for one of the more major palaces
