10 days Seoul or Cheju?

Hey everyone,

I am looking to get out of Shanghai for a 10 day weekend in late september and am considering going to either Seoul or Cheju. Any recommendations on one vs the other?

I have not been to Korea before so would like to get a bit of the cultural side as well as a bit outdoors if possible. Realize Seoul is better for the first part and Cheju the second but my understanding is that there are hikes around seoul and the DMZ and there are cultural aspects at Cheju as well. What%26#39;s the best balance?

Is there anything special going on? Will there be lots of crowds/more expensive prices?
