I%26#39;m planning for a 12-day trip (leaving 30 Oct - 10 Nov) with my 70 yr-old mother and would appreciate advice from good samaritans on my itinerary.
Day 1 - Yongin Everland Theme Park, Korean Folk Village
Day 2 - Nami Island, Shopping in Dongdaemun Market
Day 3 - Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Shopping in COMEX Mall
Day 4 - Naejangsan National Park (able to still catch the autumn colors?)
Day 5 - Eoreumgol (Ice Valley), Junam reservoir,
Day 6 - Bugok Hawaii (hot spring)
Day 7 - Jeju (how to get there ???)
Day 8 - Jeju
Day 9 - Seoul - Lotte World, Hanok Village
Day 10 - DMZ Tour
Day 11 - Flight home
Above is a rough guide as to the places we%26#39;d like to visit. Any comments? Any suggestions?
Am prepared to switch travel plans and days.
We like nature a lot and were wondering if it%26#39;s a good time to visit Eoreumgol, Junam reservoir and Bugok Hawaii? Does the schedule look too tight?
Pl help .... TIA :-)

I think your trip is very busy.
Every 5 days or so, perhaps plan on a relaxation day, staring at a great view reading a book, or just sleeping in for a few hours.
I travel a lot with my 80 yr mother and she is probably more energised than me, but still, relaxation days allow %26#39;people to come to you%26#39;, instead of charging off seeing the sights non-stop.
I have 10 days in S Korea but only planning on unpacking my bag 3 times. (ie three places as bases)
cheers

Hi Ruby
Appreciate your feedback.Your point noted.
From my knowledge, you can get to jeju via air, train or bus. Think it%26#39;ll be better for you to catch either a domestic flight frm gimpo airport or via KTX. Both ways would take lesser time as compared to bus rides.
Hope it helps... =D
Suggest for day 1, you do a Korean Folk Village in the morning and then the rest of the day, spent it at Suwon Fortress.
Maybe your 70year old mum would prefer shopping at Namdaemun Market.
And how about Changdeokgung and Isadong together instead unless shopping is your main motive.
Maybe u could do Everland in the morning (if u are not going to play everything there) and come back to Gangnam area in the afternoon and do COEX mall.
Not sure if any other travellers agree but I think its great to do a one night at Suwon and the next day, travel from Suwon to Everland instead of getting back to Seoul and travelling to YongIn again. Some people think Suwon is boring but I really love that place. The Suwon market place is so local.
Jeju is an island and is accessible via flight or ferry only. Flights are available (from what I know) from Seoul and Busan. Ferries are also available in Busan.
