Sofitel ambassador hote-Seoul

We are stopping in Seoul en route to Australia. We have paid to stay in the above hotel on way out and have been allocated a free hotel on way back by Air Asiana. We have been warned about taxi drivers trying to pick tourists up at Airport and over charging. We have a toddler, what would be best option to get to and from the Sofitel?

Someone said there is a shttle bus run by hotel does anyone know? Also anyone know how far from airport it is? Would it be feasible to use underground/subway?

If you don%26#39;t feel comfortable taking a taxi, I think you should take KAL limousine bus. It is run by Korean Air or its sub division and runs from ICN to downtown hotel directly.

Sofitel Ambassador is one of their destination and it will take about 60-80 minutes depending on the traffic. So you can also take this bus in front of your hotel back to ICN.

If you are doing stop over in Seoul with Asiana Air, try asking Asiana Air or your travel agency because sometimes they give free KAL limousine bus tickets for stop over passengers.

you can check yourself on KAL limousine bus homepage:

www.kallimousine.com

you will have to find ';english'; button.

you won%26#39;t get free limo to your own stopover hotel; the cost of KAL is abt 15$US, UK7 pounds (14,000 won) per person.

Taxis do NOT overcharge in my experience but the meter charge is pretty high. The bus is better, as your luggage goes under the bus and is offloaded for you.

The metro is bad news unless you like stairs; it%26#39;s also pretty slow, and you need to change at least at Gimpo airport to the main city metro.

Journey is about 35 miles.

Ask where you stay on way back; beware hotels in Incheon Airport town, which aren%26#39;t very western and may cause toddler issues.

Thank you for your help

Thanks for that

this is the best solution.
