Hello,
Does anyone know how expensive it may be to take a taxi from the ICN airport in Seoul to Dongdaemun Stadium Stn. I think it%26#39;s supposed to be like 110 minutes. Also, are taxis readily available at the airport?
I know there are the buses or bus limos from the airport but I just want to compare options.
Thanks for any information.

Taxis from airport60,000 won, taxi is readily available.. airport bus is about 7500won to Myeondong.
else get a van for 60,000 won if you have like 4 people and then split the cost.
Taxis from airportHi,
That trip by taxi will cost about W50 -55,000(US$55-60) if it%26#39;s not rush hour. During rush hour it will cost a bit more, maybe W60 -70,000.(US$75). There are plenty of taxis at the airport - zero waiting time.
Another option would be to take the shuttle bus from Incheon Airport to Kimpo Airport and then take the subway. The subway runs between 0600 -2300. The shuttle bus is about W5,000(US$6) and the subway would be about W1,000.(US$1).
25 minutes from Incheon to Kimpo, 10 minute transfer, 50 minutes subway to Dongdaemun.
i recently drove my car during rush hour from downtown Seoul to Incheon AP and it took 2 hours.
then what about INC airport to a hotel in itaewon area..?
I read that a limos Bus cost around 35,839 WON.. is that true? i%26#39;m not sure of the price so i can%26#39;t make sure if this price is correct?
Since this topic discussed the transportation price.. i would like to ask about subway and buses in seoul...
When i searched the subway+bus trasportation using the official website, it showed 900 WON and 1000 WON for most places.. how does this work?
Does it mean that each station, i have to pay 900 WON or for the whole trip?
Do korean transportation have one day ticket or any easy way to go around seoul [places that are in the northern part of han river and two places in the southern part]without mising the cost..
I read about T-money but a friend told me if i have to use it i need a bank account.. PLUS i will only stay for 4 days.. any idea?
I posted a similar response to someone who asked about the airport but to their hotel. i recently got back from seoul.
take the airport bus. when you get out of international arrivals, look for the information desk. behind the desk, you go outside to the bus stop. tell the porter you want to go to dongdaemun and they will tell you which bus to get on. it should cost around $15 USD or so, some buses you buy the ticket before you get on the bus and others you pay after you get off. the porters will put the luggage on the bus for you.
as for the subway, you pay about 1000 won ($1) to go anywhere within the city limits. all stations have a person behind the counter, you tell them which station you are going to, and unless it is very far, it should be 1000 won. you can make as many transfers as you want, but once you exit the subway gates, you have to pay to get back in. keep your ticket stub because you need it to exit the subway system. if you are over 60 (i think it is 60 or 55 or something like that), you get to ride for free, just show your ID.
taxi will cost you over $50, depending on traffic. buses use the bus lane during traffic so it is quicker and takes about an hour to get into the city (depending on which stop you get off at). the airport buses also announce the stops in english and the stop name also comes out on the tv screen.
i would not recommend taking the bus and then the subway with all your luggage.
does taxi accept foreign credit card? or is it cash only?
They have the ability to accept a card for payment but sometimes the foreign cards are rejected by the system. I think it%26#39;s best to take the limo bus.
I want to reply your question about using Seoul Metro t-money card, which I used a lot when I was in Seoul last March. Since Seoul%26#39;s subway fare is depends on the distance of ride, t-money card is very convenient because it subtract the fare from the card automatically, much easier than trying to figure out the exact fare amount of each ride!
Here is how to use;
Buy the t-money card from metro ticket window, whatever amount you want to charge it to card, and you can use CASH. If you are going to be in Seoul for 4-days, I suggest charge 10,000 won. There are also vending machines that sells the card but you may need help from korean speaker. Touch the card to scanner of entrance or exit gate (just like using security card, I put the card on wallet and brief contact cleared my entry or exit). Make of note of how much balance you have on your card when you exit. You can recharge the card when your balance is low. If you have more than 2,000 won left on your card, you can get refund the remaining balance. For more information see, 鈥isitseoul.net/visit2007en/鈥?/a>
I kept t-money card as a memento for my trip.
